Too bad you pictured the trackstick with an Iphone. Trackstick DOSE NOT work with anything Apple. I just switched everything to Mac and had to find an alternative data logging and picture tagging source.

Tracksticks customer service is equivalant to paging a hooker for service. At least a hooker will call you back. In addition they are way over priced and could care less about you after they get your dough.

Purchased the TrackStick Mini in Nov 2010. First time I used it, it was missing records, hour or more at at time. Then it failed for days at a time. Contacted Trackstick cust service after first failure. Their response was to tell me to change a setting that didnt appear in my unit / software interface. I advised them and even sent a screen capture to show them.

This is their response:

"Tracksticks are not military grade GPS devices. If the data is not shown in the list, it means that the software either combined it with other data or the data coming off of the satellite at the time was not usable. Just like a cell phone gets dropped calls or weak signals, GPS device can loose data. Our devices are used all over the world, covertly. The United States Government including DEA, Homeland Security, United States Army, Navy and Military have used our products covertly all over the world including in Iraq. Our devices have been instrumental in assisting, tracking and securing the likes of military ops. We have never received a complaint from Homeland Security who currently have over several hundred in their possession and are used on a daily basis. If you need 100% signal at all times, there are marine and commercial grade devices with land based assisted transmitters to improve accuracy and signal reliability. Tracksticks are consumer grade devices and act as such."

Yes, I have had dropped cell calls but Ive never missed 3 whole days of cell calls! What good is 'combined data' if it interrupts the purpose of logging travel and locations?

…..If you want a GPS logger, look elsewhere.

Hey,
Ive had a really bad experience with the trackstick mini. I ordered one as a test to try to keep tabs on my delivery vehicle. Upon arrival, the trackstick would not work since it was defective. Four weeks and fifty bucks later I received a new one. It worked Ok for about a week and then it started having problems getting a signal lock. The device would only record half the day or less. lately it wont record at all. I thought perhaps it was my car, but i tried using a normal gps and it worked fine in the same spot. Im really disapointed.
