Initial Setup
This system is ready to go right out of the box! Just place two AAA batteries
in the unit and install it in the vehicle. It’s that simple! Better yet,
there is no on/off switch to worry about. Once the batteries are in the unit,
it’s ready to track.
Software Installation
LandAirSeaSystems has devised a number of improvements in their new software
package for the GPS Tracking Key; among them, detailed error checking and a more
user friendly interface . Installation is simple: just plug the GPS Tracking
Key into your computer’s USB port, install the driver, and you can download
the information that the unit has gathered.
Cover and Concealment
Because this unit is extremely small, it’s very easy to conceal. Add to that
its high sensitivity GPS, and you have a unit that will work almost anywhere
and with almost any orientation that you incorporate. Whereas with other GPS tracking systems,
the antenna must be oriented to face upward, this unit can be placed upside
down, under the vehicle for superior tracking results.
Mapping
LandAirSea Systems has been successful in combining a powerful gps tracking
system with some of the most intricate mapping techniques on the market today.
Using Google Earth® as its primary mapping source, tracking data is not only
displayed on a street map, but on detailed, high resolution satellite photography
as well. In an area where Google Earth® hasn’t yet incorporated satellite
photography? We have standard maps available in our software suite that
will display in a regular street map – a definite example of form meeting
function!
